This is a service we perform on cars that have oil burning issues. Extended oil change intervals have lead to oil burning issues in modern vehicles. A lot of manufactures claim it is ok for an engine to burn 1 quart every 800 miles. That is excessive in my book. Simple math would say that if your car was burning 1 quart of oil every 800 miles and your car held 4 quarts of oil that your car would run out of oil in 2,400 miles. That is long before it is due for an oil change.

A car that would benefit from this service is one with stuck piston rings. Engines that are known for this issue are Honda 2.4L and 3.5L, any Audi or Volkswagen product, BMW, Any GM 5.3 6.0 6.2 with active fuel management, and Subaru vehicles. There are others that have issues, these are just some of the biggest offenders.
